Partnerships for the Goals
At SCF we believe that the vision of Sustainability leading to a healthy living environment and well-being should be a priority. This objective is achievable through a robust public-private collaboration, Social Responsibility (CSR) engagement with the corporate sectors and Crowd funding platforms. A conscious shift of lifestyle choices by citizens is the only way to reduce our carbon footprint and reverse the impact of climate change.
Sustainable, non-motorized transportation lies at the heart of this urgent transformation of cities. Adopting cycling as a means of daily commute, last mile options and logistics can dramatically reduce the environmental deterioration while improving individual health hazards that have come to be associated with lifestyle choices.
Dedicated to reviving the idea of cycling as a means of daily commute for all, SCF’s Founder Director and Mumbai’s first Bicycle Mayor, Ms. Firoza Dadan, has spent over 3 decades in understanding the challenges of mindsets and infrastructure that prevent people from cycling their way from childhood to adulthood.
Her engagement with people on the roads of Mumbai, in the traffic and municipal departments and with Government, resulted in the Foundation’s four pillars:
To nudge a shift towards adopting sustainable living solutions through:
To empower every individual to reimagine and recreate a healthier, happier, greener planet.
