Cycle2School

A largely advocacy based initiative, it is proposed to be conducted within the boundaries of the school and the classroom. Ideas of sharing the road, disciplined riding, road safety, environmental protection and a healthy lifestyle through cycling on a regular basis will be designed in consultation with curriculum heads, educational boards and ministries. Schools will be helped and encouraged to include cycle riding training as part of their physical training programs.

The focus of the Program is to ensure that children as young as 4-5 years old grow in an environment that encourages them to understand the importance of fitness and physical activity. The aim being to train a future generation that from an early age learns to respect and share the road between motorised and non-motorised transport, are aware of road safety and discipline and respect the environment – all of which lead to a healthy way of living.

Workshops are sought to be planned, where students will get educated on the importance of cycling and how it can be beneficial to them personally and to the city.
